I am 100 percent fit to lead KKR: Gambhir

Hyderabad: Indian opener and Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir insisted that he has completely recovered from the concussion he sustained during the recent tour of England, even though he was out for a duck in his IPL team's loss to Somerset in the Champions League Twenty20 on Sunday.
"I am 100 percent fit and that is why I was playing," he told reporters in the post-match press conference after the Kolkata Knight Riders lost to Somerset by five wickets in Hyderabad.
Gambhir, who didn't compete in the event's qualifying stages due to the concussion, said his team would look to rectify the mistakes made in the match against Somerset.
"The way they batted in the first six overs, it took the game away from us. But I think we did really well to take the game to the last over. So, there are a lot of positives from this game. Hopefully, we don't make the same mistakes that we made today. Hopefully, we will try and come back hard," he said.
Gambhir said the 161 runs made by his team against Somerset was a good total.
"I think, we have got three more games. Hopefully, we can will three and gear to the semi-finals. Sometimes, when you know that you have got to win all, you go out and give everything.
Somerset won with two balls to spare with South African Roelof van der Merwe top-scoring with a 40-ball 73.
"I think we batted really well but Merwe took the game away from us. Kallis is a quality player. He is world-class and Yusuf Pathan is also in good form. We have a lot of positives out of this match," insisted Gambhir.
Earlier, a vintage knock by Jacques Kallis (74 off 61 balls) and a whirlwind innings by Yusuf Pathan (39 off 21 balls) helped KKR post a competitive 161/3 in their 20 overs.
