Indian team's security increased in England

Indian team's security increased in England
London: The Indian team's security has been increased by the England Cricket Board after the touring players expressed apprehension about their safety in the wake of the recent riots here.
According to The Daily Telegraph, "the added measures, being paid for by the England and Wales Cricket Board, are thought to include 30 undercover policemen within their hotels, a dozen uniformed officers outside, and two unmarked cars to escort the team bus."
The report said the request for hightened security came from the BCCI, after "the players are said to have felt uneasy."
"Providing the extra security for the remainder of the tour, which includes one Twenty20 match and five one-day internationals, is seen as a means of calming those fears," the newspaper said.
However, the security cover of the England team, which is currently leading the four-match Test series 0-3, remains unchanged.
London was hit by riots last week following the death of a person in police firing. The situation has, however, calmed down now.
