After Botham, Vaughan predicts 4-0 whitewash
New Delhi: England's former captains are using every opportunity to give the home side a psychological advantage ahead of the third Test against India at Edgbaston. Last week it was Ian Botham who predicted a 4-0 whitewash for the No. 1 Test side and on Monday Michael Vaughan reiterated that through his tweets.
"4-0 England in the Test series. Zaheer coming back was India's only hope. Big loss for them. Sorry to all my new-found Indian followers," Vaughan wrote on Twitter.
"Indian fans seem to be very blinkered. Just accept that without Zaheer, you will struggle to get 20 wickets in English conditions," he added.
Vaughan also blamed the Indian Premier League for India's woes. He tweeted: "I think the IPL will be a long-term problem for the Indian Test team. Young players will focus towards T20 cricket rather than Test."
England lead the four-match Test series 2-0. A win at Edgbaston will make them the No. 1 Test side, according to the ICC
