Leicestershire shot out for 34 by Essex

London: David Masters took eight wickets as Leicestershire were bowled out for just 34 by Essex in English cricket's County Championship on Friday.
Masters, a 33-year-old seam bowler, finished with astonishing figures of eight wickets for 10 runs in 7.4 overs as hosts Essex cruised to a crushing 280-run Second Division victory.
Leicestershire, set 315 to win, saw their second innings last just 72 minutes at Southend, east of London.
Masters's haul, the best of his career, started when Will Jefferson was bowled in his first over.
And his fourth yielded three more wickets.
Masters had Matt Boyce caught in the slips and then had James Taylor lbw before knocking back the off stump of Wayne White.
He eventually ended the match when Tom New was caught behind in an innings where only Joshua Cobb (13) made it into double figures.
"Naturally it has been a fantastic day for me - quite unbelievable," said Masters.
"It is certainly one I will never forget. The ball did seam about and it was a good pitch to bowl on, but we never expected to win in such an easy fashion."
