London: Athletes dedicating wins to their families, friends and even pets is quite common, but flamboyant England off-spinner Graeme Swann has dedicated the ODI series triumph over India to the London Zoo because he happened to have a good time there.
Swann has a reputation of the being resident funny-man of the English cricket team and he lived up to it with his latest tweet.
After the rain-hit tied match against India gave England a winning 2-0 lead in the five-match series, Swann went out with his family to the London Zoo.
"I dedicate the series win to London zoo. Had a great time there with Wilf and Mrs Swann yesterday," Swann tweeted.
The English had also beaten Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men in the only Twenty20 match that was played before the one-dayers, the first of which was rained out. England won the next two games, before the rain-hit penultimate match at Lord's on Sunday ended in a tie.
The last match of the series will be played in Cardiff on Friday.
