srilanka in trouble 76 -5 against australia

Pallekele: Australia have taken control of the second Test in Pallekele, after reducing Sri Lanka to 76-5 at lunch on the first day.
Earlier, Sri Lanka elected to bat first after winning the toss.
After much debate over the 'poor' pitch in Galle for the first Test, which the Lankans lost by 125 runs, the wicket here looks to be a good one. So skipper Tillakaratne Dilshan had no hesitation in choosing to take the first strike.
The Pallekele stadium in Kandy has hosted only one Test previously. That match, between Sri Lanka and West Indies in December last year, was washed out due to rain, so the venue is a rather new one.
Both sides also have a newcomer each in their line-ups. Having completed a century of Test wins in the last match, Ricky Ponting has flown home for the birth of his second child. In his place comes Shaun Marsh, who received the 'baggy green' from his father, Geoff.
Meanwhile, Seekkugge Prasanna makes his Test debut for Sri Lanka, coming into the side in place of the injured Rangana Herath. Ajantha Mendis has not been included due to a sore back.
Teams:
Sri Lanka: Tillakaratne Dilshan (C), Tharanga Paranavitana, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Thilan Samaraweera, Prasanna Jayawardene, Angelo Mathews, Suranga Lakmal, Suraj Randiv, Chanaka Welegedara, Seekkuge Prasanna
Australia: Shane Watson, Phillip Hughes, Shaun Marsh, Michael Clarke (C), Michael Hussey, Usman Khawaja, Brad Haddin (WK), Mitchell Johnson, Ryan Harris, Trent Copeland, Nathan Lyon
