Renewing passport top priority for Nixon

Renewing passport top priority for Nixon
Edbgaston: Leicestershire captain Paul Nixon will have to do some running around to renew his passport as he gears up to head to India for the Champions League Twenty20 qualifiers after signing off from county cricket with a fairy tale victory over Somerset in the Twenty20 final.
Nixon announced earlier this month he would retire at the end of his side's Twenty20 campaign and did it in style with a win against Somerset.

"I'll be 100 percent there. My passport is about to run out so I might have to pay a bit to get a new one but that's my first job Monday morning," Nixon was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
On winning the final, he said: "It's been a great journey. Thankfully today it was written in the stars. The timing was right, everything was right. Mr Pollard is a serious player. I was at Trent Bridge when he hit one over the stand. I've never seen a six like it. So to catch him was a nice moment.
"But we have a small squad so everybody has to come to the party and that's what we've done. Every single person in our team has won a game for us in this competition."
Nixon was given a hero's reception after inspiring the side to a quarterfinal win at Grace Road a day after he announced his retirement.
"The quarterfinal was very, very special for me. I felt like that was my send-off and that mentally this was business time. That day was for me, this was for everybody else. This was for Leicestershire as a club. Andrew McDonald has been world class all the way through. Abdul Razzaq is a born winner. Claude Henderson is different class. James Taylor should have been playing for England weeks ago," he said.
