Sachin's proud collection of record.
As the Lord's Test looms ahead, Sachin Tendulkar is on the brink of achieving the unique milestone of a hundred international hundreds. That would be a bigger, brighter feather in a cap that is already spectacularly adorned. The plethora of records in Sachin's custody also makes him the unofficial holder of the record for the most records in the sport. Here's the lowdown on his staggering feats, many of which may never be surpassed.
Most Tests played - 177. Many of Sachin's signal achievements are a function of his sheer longevity in the game - 22 years and counting. He's on course to becoming the first player to notch up a double century of Test matches, having left behind Aussie iceman Steve Waugh, who is in second place with 168.
Most ODIs played - 453 & Most consecutive ODIs played - 185. Sanath Jayasuriya, who made his swansong in England this year, is in second place on 445. They are the only two to touch the 400-mark.
