England are jealous of India: Ravi Shastri

England are jealous of India: Ravi Shastri
Nottingham: While the thrill of the high-voltage series between India and England is going on in the cricket grounds, the craze has been increasing outside the field with every passing moment.
During the Lord's Test which was eventually won by the home side, there were a number of contentious LBW decisions by the on-field umpires. However, the debate stirred up when the field umpire made another controversial LBW decision during the first innings of the ongoing second Test at Trent Bridge, declaring Harbhajan Singh out on a ball that hit the bat first before touching the pad.
Former England skipper, Nasser Hussain, who is following the series as a commentator, lashed out at India's denial to use the Decision Review System for LBW decisions, terming BCCI's move as a disgrace.
The dispute soon turned ugly when Ravi Shastri, former India captain and commentator, reacted strongly to Hussain's comment by saying Hussain has no right to make such comments.
"What right does he have to say disgrace, its for both teams, there are certain things that can be corrected, fair enough England is trying to hit at everything that the BCCI does, everything damn thing that they do, they are jealous about the way the IPL is going, they are jealous about where India is in World Cricket, they are jealous about the fact that India are World Champions, they are jealous because of the too much money being made by BCCI, bottom-line is that they have never been number 1 in the world in Test cricket," Shastri said.
