The shadow of the blasts in Mumbai could be felt in the reaction of the Indian cricket team here for the England tour. The players, with concerned looks, were anxious to gather the latest information about the situation while returning from their practice. “It’s very sad wherever it
happens, whether in an Indian city or outside. I hope such things don't happen in future. Mumbai has shown great resilience in the past whenever such things have happened. We’re really hopeful that they’ll show the same spirit,” said skipper MS Dhoni.“We are very sad and offered prayers for the victims. The most important thing in such moments is to stay united,” said S Sreesanth.
A senior official felt it would be better to ignore such gruesome incidents. “They (the terrorists) thrive on getting publicity; it is what they aim to achieve, get noticed and create panic. It is better if their cowardly acts are completely ignored,” he said.
